The 45-story rental tower known as 727 West Madison is expected to open later this year
As construction on the West Loop’s 727 West Madison apartment tower enters the homestretch, its developers have released a handful of new renderings offering a first glimpses inside the glassy, ellipsis-shaped building.
The images show communal amenity spaces including a seventh-floor lounge and party room, both featuring interiors designed by Morgante Wilson Architects. Additionally, a pair of model unit images preview the kinds of finishes future renters can expect to find in their kitchens and bathrooms.
There’s still more to come from 727 West Madison’s interiors including a pool deck, fitness center, and 45th-floor “Sky Lounge” from West Loop-based designer Studio K. Known for trendy restaurants and hospitality projects such as the upcoming Nobu Hotel, Studio K is making a splash in residential projects like the Gold Coast’s Aurélien Apartments.
Fifield Companies and F&F Realty broke ground on 727 West Madison—then known by the name One South Halsted—in early 2017. The developers plan on pre-leasing apartments in the tower starting October 1. Move-ins are expected before the end of the year.
The building’s 492 units are offered in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts. The apartments range from 500 to 1,550 square feet in size and are expected to rent for between roughly $2,000 and $7,500 per month.
Rising just shy of 500 feet, 727 West Madison is the tallest building west of the Kennedy Expressway and is likely to hold that title until the planned Equinox Hotel eventually tops out at 615 feet.
The design from FitzGerald Associates Architects also includes 10,000 square feet of retail space and a parking to be used by both residents and the neighboring Crown Plaza hotel to the south. The rental high-rise was first announced back in 2009.
