More than a year before it is to be delivered, the new office tower at 110 North Wacker Drive from Riverside Investment & Development and Howard Hughes continues to rack up new tenants.

Law firm Perkins Coie will lease 100,000 square feet in the office building at the corner of Wacker Drive and Washington Street, according to Crain’s. The firm will lease floors 34 through 37 and will move in to the building in 2021, a year after it is set to be completed.

The new lease continues the trend of Central Loop tenants leaving for new office buildings in River North, the West Loop and along Wacker Drive. Perkins Coie will leave its 116,000-square-foot lease at the Citadel Center at 131 South Dearborn Street to make the move, according to Crain’s.

Another Central Loop tenant, Bank of America, will also decamp for 110 North Wacker Drive, anchoring the building with a 530,000-square-foot lease.

Since Bank of America signed on, Riverside and Howard Hughes have netted a number of other major leases in their development. Financial firm Lincoln International announced it will take 60,000 square feet in the building, and law firm Morgan Lewis & Bockius will rent 86,000 square feet in the tower.

Upscale co-working firm No18, meanwhile, will make its entrance into the Chicago market by taking two of three penthouse floors in the building.

The 55-story office building is now 60 percent leased, according to Crain’s. It is set to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2020. [Crain’s]Joe Ward
